Robotics as a Key Driver of Competitiveness in the Factories of the Future in Slovenia
Slovenia is a highly industrialised country with a strong focus on robotics and automation. The Slovenian Strategic Research and Innovation Partnership (SRIP) Factories of the Future, together with the Robotics Association, the Association of Automation and Robotics Integrators and the Centre of Excellence for Advanced Control Technologies, provides a well-organised ecosystem to promote innovation and business opportunities in robotics and automation.
Mario Draghi’s study emphasises the importance of robotics for European industry, and Slovenia is among the leaders in robot density in manufacturing — 3rd in Europe (alongside Denmark) and 11th worldwide. The reason for this lies in strong educational and research institutions, we have renowned robot manufacturers, exclusive component manufacturers and system integrators focussing on the transfer of robotic solutions to end users.
To further improve our competitiveness, we have developed an action plan for robotics and automation that includes six key areas for research, development and innovation. We will present these strategic priorities in our presentation in order to attract partners from other regions to help us achieve our common goals.

Standardization and interoperability as the backbone of scalable AGV and AMR solutions
As AGVs and AMRs become increasingly central to modern intralogistics and production, many companies find themselves facing rising complexity and integration challenges—especially when expanding beyond pilot projects. This presentation explores how standardization and interoperability act as key enablers for scaling these technologies effectively. With a focus on practical implications for automation providers, system Integrators and users of mobile robotics, it highlights how early alignment with a technology partner and the use of open, modular approaches can significantly reduce engineering effort, ensure interoperability, and future-proof AGV and AMR strategies.

Omron Mobile and Collaborative robot in one - as a standard solution in production and intralogistics process
The presentation is about Omron total solution based on mobile and collaborative robot, called MoMa (Mobile Manipulator). With this solution we can solve several issues in a production and intralogistics processes. With Fleet Management tool we can run a fleet of mobile robots up from 60kg up to 1500kg payload and collaborative robot top up to 25 kg of payload with different grippers/tools for many different applications. By this topic there will be shown the configuration of the MoMa system and Use Cases from the industry.
